HELENMARIE KULIS HIGH LADY IN PISTOL MATCH

COOKEVILLE TENNESSEE – HelenMarie Kulis from Cookeville was high lady in the Independence Day open Pistol Match held recently at the Bend of the River. Kulis was shooting for the first time and had a great time and ended up as first lady with the score of 534. Mike Thompson from Cookeville was match winner with a 2164-15X.

There was a threat from the weather, but it was cool and It did not rain until after the match was finished.

This was an NRA Precision Pistol match with three 90 shot stages. Each stage of the match had 3 targets shots slow fire with 10 shots in ten minutes. Then three targets with two 5 shot strings in 20 seconds each and then 3 targets with two 5 shot strings in 10 seconds. It is a lot of shooting, but it is a lot of fun. The shooting is one handed at 25 yards with .22LR, any centerfire pistol .32 to 45 Caliber or any .45 ACP pistol.
