NICK VAN EGMOND WINS LSBOR DAY OPEN RIFLE MATCH

 

COOKEVILLE, TN – Nick Van Egmond from Clarksville was the winner of the Labor Day Open rifle match held recently at the Bend of the River.  Van Egmond managed a come back after loosing the first stage of the match.  Jayden Grider from Baxter won the prone stage with the score of 382-15X to Van Egmond’s 381-11X.  The final talley had Van Egmond at 1118-24X and Jayden Grider with 1091-23X .  Third went to Jaylyn Grider from Baxter that had 715-1X.

This was a 3-position smallbore match at 50 yards with .22 LR caliber rifles using any sights. The positions were 40 shots prone, 40 shots standing and 40 shots kneeling.  It was a wonderful day for a match with warm but not hot temperature and the sky was partly overcast all during the match

The BB gun program for the 8-15 year-old shooters begins January 4^th, 2025. This program meets on Saturday morning from January to May. There are matches from to time.  For more information contact Charlie Pardue at  (931) 498-2829 or  bendoftheriverpsc@twlakes.net  .
