Scout Check has acquired the old Illinois Oil & Gas base maps from Dean’s Superior Blueprint in Champaign, Illinois.  The maps have been in storage for several years and the shop owner retired and has sold his business & reached out for someone to preserve the maps.  

Because of their accuracy geologist & operators use these maps to check for correct well spots before they proceed with a prospect. 

We have taken these sepias, cleaned them up & scanned them at 600 dpi, hoping that this historical data may be of use to the industry.  

This set includes:

86 - 2” = mile Oil & Gas Development maps, showing Oil. Gas, service wells and dry holes.  These base maps included towns, major roads, county, township & section lines.  They are out of date, most updated into the early 1990’s.   

35 - Contoured Barlow maps 

50 - Non-contoured Barlow maps

49 - Contoured Karnak base maps.
