Local Attractions
Immediately surrounding us is our little community of Muddy Pond.
You can drive the back roads and enjoy the scenery, stop and chat with the locals,
or shop and eat at the unique stores and workplaces.

The Variety Store is next to the sorghum mill and is run by the Guenther family. Mrs. Guenther sells a unique mixture of household items, baked goods and antiques.

The Country Porch offers unique gift shopping and homemade ice cream.



The Sorghum Mill
They love to have you stop and watch as they cook molasses in September and October.

The Leather Shop is run by the Bauman family and is a favorite for horse lovers. You can buy a saddle or dog collar or get a fancy belt with your name on it custom made by Irvin.

The General Store has a wide variety of interesting crafts, quilts, furniture and bulk foods. They serve a delicious sandwich and people love their fresh fried apple pies.

Further a-field you can enjoy spectacular natural beauty here on the Cumberland Plateau.
